- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 tablespoon milk
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: A few drops of vanilla extract, cinnamon, or chocolate chips for flavor variation
Instructions:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
- Add the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, vegetable oil or melted butter, milk, baking powder, and a pinch of salt to the mashed banana.
- Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly until you have a smooth batter. Ensure there are no lumps.
- If desired, add a few drops of vanilla extract for flavor enhancement or sprinkle in a pinch of cinnamon for added warmth. You can also include chocolate chips for a delightful twist.
- Place the bowl in the microwave and cook on high for approximately 1.5 to 2 minutes. Cooking times may vary depending on the microwave’s wattage, so keep an eye on it. The cake should rise and become firm to the touch when done.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the bowl from the microwave (it might be hot) and let the cake cool for a minute or two.
- Optionally, you can dust the top with powdered sugar or add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream for serving.
